Melli joined the Vancouver Westside German School in 2025. Originally from Dortmund in West Germany, Melli holds a bachelor’s degree in social pedagogy. She has worked multiple years as a youth worker in residential welfare in Germany. Furthermore she has supported newcomers and refugee youth learning German in residential settings. Since relocating to Vancouver in 2024, she has been supporting clients with mental health and substance use disorders, as well as youth facing homelessness. She currently teaches the B2 Senior class in North Vancouver, where she engages students with language and culture in an exciting way.
