The Vancouver Westside German School is a non-profit charitable organization founded in 1992 by a group of parents committed to providing a German language program for their children.
The Vancouver Westside German School is a member of the Canadian Association of German Language Schools (CAGLS) and the BC Heritage Language Association (BCHLA).
Our school is accredited to administer German Language Certificate examinations (DSD) by the Central Agency of Schools Abroad (ZfA), and we are part of the PASCH intitiative. This initiative, Schools: Partners for the Future, has been established by the German Foreign Ministry as a network for German Schools abroad offering the German Language Certificate. We are part of that network through the ZfA. Our school receives financial support from the Federal Republic of Germany through the ZfA.
